The star ensemble of the Los Angeles Lakers around LeBron James suffered a damper at the start of the season in the North American professional basketball league NBA.
The title candidate from the Western Conference was defeated by the Golden State Warriors at Stephen Curry 114: 121 at the Staples Center at home and seamlessly continued the messed up preparation.
In the first joint NBA game of the new star trio LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook, James and top Foward Davis got 34 and 33 points and eleven rebounds each.
But in the end the Warriors prevailed.
Led by Curry, who managed a triple-double, five other guest players came up with a number of hits in the double-digit range.
The Lakers want to reach the 18th championship of the franchise in the 75th NBA season, in the preseason the first play-off round was over.
For this goal, the high-quality squad was further strengthened with the 19-time Allstars Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony.

The defending champion starts convincingly
Things went better for the Milwaukee Bucks.
