34 and 33 points by LeBron James and Anthony Davis were not enough for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Golden State Warriors. The Brooklyn Nets did without star Kyrie Irving after the vaccination scandal - and failed.

The star ensemble of the Los Angeles Lakers around LeBron James suffered a damper at the start of the season in the North American professional basketball league NBA.

The title candidate from the Western Conference was defeated by the Golden State Warriors at Stephen Curry 114: 121 at the Staples Center at home and seamlessly continued the messed up preparation.

In the first joint NBA game of the new star trio LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook, James and top Foward Davis got 34 and 33 points and eleven rebounds each.

But in the end the Warriors prevailed.

Led by Curry, who managed a triple-double, five other guest players came up with a number of hits in the double-digit range.

The Lakers want to reach the 18th championship of the franchise in the 75th NBA season, in the preseason the first play-off round was over.

For this goal, the high-quality squad was further strengthened with the 19-time Allstars Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony.

But the test matches went wrong with a 0: 6 balance.

The defending champion starts convincingly

Things went better for the Milwaukee Bucks.

The championship team started the season with a 127: 104 win against the Brooklyn Nets.

After hoisting the championship banner and handing over the championship rings, the Bucks were only 2-0 down at the beginning of the game on Tuesday evening - and dominated the title candidate and competitors from the Eastern Conference.

"I think we did a great job and managed to concentrate on the plan and ourselves," said Giannis Antetokounmpo, who immediately convinced with 32 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists.

For the time being, the Nets will not have the star Kyrie Irving, who has not been vaccinated against the corona virus, and therefore only had two of their three top players on the field.

As early as the first quarter, the Bucks were able to break away by 19 points and did not give up this lead until the end.

Kevin Durant also made a good game with 32 points and eleven rebounds, the 20 counters, eight rebounds and eight assists from James Harden were not a bad result - but that was not enough against the Bucks.
