The Athletics Federation set up a qualitative camp for men, youth and juniors in two areas in the countryside of Damascus, the first in Hosh Arab and the second in Deir Atiyah, in preparation for participating in the upcoming internal and external tournaments.
In the camp that was held in Hosh Arab, 14 male and female players participated in the running, speed and steeplechase races, while 7 players participated in the camp held in Deir Atiyah to jump, push the ball, and throw the javelin and disc.
The head of the Federation, Fayyad Bakour, said in a statement to the SANA Sports Bulletin that setting up the camp during this period in Hosh Arab was to take advantage of the general atmosphere and the mountainous environment in which the best teams in the world exercise due to taking advantage of the lack of oxygen in the atmosphere, which leads to an increase in red blood cells and an increase in body activity. As for the second camp in Deir Atiyah, the ingredients for success are also fully available and in the presence of a selection of national trainers.
Bakour added that this camp can be classified as qualitative due to the program through which the work is carried out. It provides, in addition to the exercise, recreational activities, gathering all the players in the two camps on a weekly basis, in addition to providing study services to the participants to compensate for the educational loss and gathering all the participants in a family social atmosphere in which all familiarity and love .
