Munich - coach Julian Nagelsmann * from FC Bayern Munich * has tested positive for the corona virus.
The soccer record champions announced on Thursday after the 34-year-old had missed the Champions League game at Benfica Lisbon the evening before.
A flu-like infection was named as the reason for this by the club.
The Munich team won 4-0 without their coach.
The association pointed out that Nagelsmann had "complete" vaccination protection.
He will not travel to Munich with the team, but rather separately in an ambulance flight.
After his return, he will go into domestic isolation, FC Bayern announced.
Nagelsmann will continue to miss the Munich team for the time being.
In Lisbon he was primarily represented by assistant coach Dino Toppmöller.
