Maccabi Tel Aviv wants to put aside today (Thursday) the bad season opener in the Premier League in Israel and continue the Conference League project in a good way.
Maccabi Tel Aviv has 4 points after a home win over Alskart in the opening round and an away draw against Lasek Linz in the second round and the club estimates that tonight's victory in Finland (17:30, Sport1) will pave the way to finish in one of the first two places at home and qualify for the knockout stage later.
HYK Helsinki lost in the first round at home to Lusk Linz 0: 2.
Although it defeated Alskart away in the second round, it is still an opponent that Maccabi Tel Aviv can beat tonight at Bolt Arena, although an uncomfortable encounter with synthetic grass and no less so with winter weather awaits it.

One way or another Coach Patrick Van Leven surveyed Helsinki in a number of meetings and highlighted its offensive strengths and weaknesses at the back.
The Maccabi Tel Aviv players asked Van Leven to maintain stability and not create a large gap between the good minutes as they were in the first half in Netanya on Saturday and the breakup that was in the second half.
There is a consensus among the players that the main problem is the absorption of goals.
Only in the game against Hapoel Jerusalem did Maccabi Tel Aviv manage to keep a clean sheet since August and the goal tonight is first and foremost not to absorb.
"We need to return to the tough and responsible football that would have set us zero mandatory goals," one of the players said this morning.
"The whole team needs to work and maintain our goal."

Van Leven did not reveal last night in training that concludes to the players the expected lineup tonight, and the main question is whether he will continue to trust his almost regular lineup or try to make some changes to shock after the defeat to Maccabi Netanya on Saturday.
