New York - Boston 134: 138 (two overtimes)

This is how a thriller is made: two mythological groups, a hall full of Madison Square Garden, the canals of stars and many big baskets.

It was supposed to be the evening of Jaylen Brown, who came out of isolation and signed up at the last minute for the game, to set a tremendous career record of 46 points (along with 9 rebounds and 6 assists), but in the end it was Tom Thibodeau's team that celebrated the electrifying atmosphere in MSG.

Marcus Smart was the one to force the first overtime with a three that set up a tie with one second left in legal time, and the first overtime - especially in the final part - was a comedy of mistakes during which no basket was scored for three minutes. The Celtics insisted on putting the ball in the hands of the least hot Jason Taitum in crucial attacks, and eventually Owen Fournier and Derek Rose made them pay with big baskets in the second overtime. Julius Randall opened the season fantastically with 35 points, and Evan Fournier assisted him with 32 - a record points for the Knicks player in his first game for the team. For the Celtics, in addition to Jaylen Brown, Jason Taitum also finished with a beautiful stat line of 20 points and 11 rebounds.

New Orleans - Philadelphia 117: 97

In the shadow of the storm surrounding Ben Simmons, the Sixers have shown they can do well without him.

Timmons Maxi, one of the candidates for the breakthrough of the season, easily stepped into Simmons' shoes, and along with Joel Ambide, Tobias and Furkan Korkmaz who came up hot from the bench, the victory was guaranteed with a sweeping second half as the Zionists without Zion Williamson raise their hands.

Ambide and Forkmaz finished with 22 each, Harris had 20 and 12 rebounds and Maxi had 20, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, while Brandon Ingrom's 25 and Nickel Alexander Walker's 23 were not enough for New Orleans.

Who needs Simmons?

Charlotte - Indiana 122: 123

The big comeback of the night was signed by the Hornets, and especially by Amalo Bull. Rocky last season led a 2:28 run in the third quarter that brought Charlotte back from minus 23, and went all the way to a premiere victory with a lot of character, forgetting the historic 68-point loss to Dallas in the final preseason game. Bull finished with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and was assisted by Gordon Hayward who contributed 27. Like last season, this time too Domantas Savonis starred with 33 points and 15 rebounds.

Detroit - Chicago 94:88

The Bulls have been marked as a potential black horse in the East, but judging by the season-opening game they still have a lot of work to do. The weakest team in the East last season stretched Chicago until the closing seconds, leading by considerable chunks but eventually surrendering to Zac Lavin, who was above them all with 34 points and was also signed on the crucial free throws at the end. Damar Druzen added 17 and Nikola Wojciech finished with a double-double of 15 and 15 rebounds, while the Pistons who appeared without a pick 1 in the draft Cade Cunningham (suffering from an injury) enjoyed 24 points from Jeremy Grant.

Memphis - Cleveland 121: 132

Ja Morant wants to continue his line of progress this season, and tonight it looks in the right direction. The Cat Guard's 37 points alongside Desmond Bain's 22 gave the Grizzlies the win, despite the Cubs' stubborn fight led by Jarrett Allen (25) and an impressive third-round debut in the Owen's Mobley pick (17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists ).

A big comeback.

Utah - Oklahoma City 86: 107

The best regular season team in the league last year did not encounter any unusual opposition in front of the home crowd.

A dominant first quarter in which the double-digit difference grew showed where the wind was blowing, and in the third quarter Kevin Snyder's team had already closed interest.

Bogdan Bogdanovich (22 points), Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gover with 16 each (the French also had no less than 21 rebounds) were prominent in the Utah ranks, in another Thunder tanking season began with 18 points from Shay Gilges Alexander And 15 by Darius Beasley.

San Antonio - Orlando 97: 123

In his 24th year in office, Greg Popovich presents a new, starless version in San Antonio that, meanwhile, looks not bad at all.

Devin Wassel led an exemplary balanced scoring with 19, Lonnie Walker added 17 and Derek White were 16, in a game where the offense washed well and subdued the Magic without too many problems.

Mo Bamba (18 points and 4 blocks) and Terence Ross (15) were the bright spots for the loser.

Minnesota - Houston 106: 124

An easy win for the Timberwolves, who want to take a step forward and left no chance for a team that finished last season with the worst balance in the West.

Carl Anthony Towns (30 points and 10 rebounds) and Anthony Edwards (29) led an escape to plus 27 already in the first half, and from there the Rockets gave up.

Christian Wood led them with 16.

piece of cake.
