Julian Nagelsmann was not on the bench in Bayern's game at Benfica Lisbon.
The FCB coach complains about "feeling unwell".
Now the reason is known.
Update from October 21, 10:45 a.m.:
As FC Bayern announced on Twitter, Julian Nagelsmann was infected with the corona virus - despite the full vaccination protection!
The FCB coach is now flying separately from the team with an ambulance aircraft from Lisbon back to Munich and is there in domestic isolation.
The evening before, Nagelsmann hadn't been on the bench in Bayern's 4-0 success and had stayed in the hotel because of "feeling unwell" and a supposed flu.
Co-trainer Dino Toppmöller represented Nagelsmann at the Estadio de la Luz.
Now it is also clear that it is not just a flu-like infection.
How long Nagelsmann can not be with the team is not yet clear.
But he'll probably have to stay in quarantine for at least ten days.
