Bayern's head coach Julian Nagelsmann has Corona and was also missing on the sidelines against Hoffenheim. However, his team left no doubt about their own dominance. And Dortmund wins despite Haaland injury.

After the 5-0 win against Cologne, Hoffenheim went into what was presumably the most feared away game of the season with great self-confidence, especially since Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann was missing with a corona infection. That didn't seem to really affect the record champions, on the contrary: Robert Lewandowski missed the lead early on alone in front of keeper Oliver Baumann (3rd minute), Serge Gnabry scored it a little later, but was called back by the video assistant (8th). Because Bayern showed a great combination game on the one hand and Hoffenheim suffered negligent ball losses on the other, a Bayern win was never really in danger.

In the 16th minute Gnabry hit after a series of passes through Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala, among others, for the lead, in the 30th minute Robert Lewandowski circled the ball beautifully in the right angle after Hoffenheim loaned Chris Richards to a ball that was believed to be safe Thomas Müller had lost. After the heavy strain of international travel and English weeks, Bayern took it easy in the second round. Hoffenheim occasionally came dangerously in front of the goal, but couldn't get past national goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. On the other hand, substitute Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting made the decision (82nd), Kingsley Coman even increased (87th).

After the 4-0 defeat in the Champions League at Ajax Amsterdam, Borussia Dortmund achieved an undisputed mandatory victory in the league. With penultimate Arminia Bielefeld, BVB did not even need the help of top scorer Erling Haaland, who will be absent for a longer period with a muscle injury. After a confused initial phase, Cedric Brunner fouled BVB striker Donyell Malen, and Emre Can shot the due penalty in the lower right corner of Arminia's goal (31st). Mats Hummels increased before the break, after a corner kick, the Dortmund captain sank a volley from a good 16 meters (45).

The most beautiful goal of the day, however, was scored by Jude Bellingham: The youngster managed to finish in the second half with a dribble against three Bielefelds and scored (72nd) before Fabian Klos scored the Bielefeld consolation goal with a penalty (87th). The mood on the side of the black and yellow, who remain in the table for the first pursuer of FC Bayern, really clouded, but only the injury to Gregor Kobel, who had to vacate his place in the Dortmund goal at halftime for Marwin Hitz.

Even after nine match days, no team has yet managed to defeat SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga. This time it was VfL Wolfsburg who tried it and lost to the surprise team from Breisgau. Both Mark van Bommel and Christian Streich relied first and foremost on stability in midfield, the game did not reveal many chances. Freiburg's Vincenzo Grifo was able to play his strength with stationary balls, his free-kick crossed close in front of the goal brought Philipp Lienhart over the line from close range (28th). Wolfsburg were lucky when Koen Casteels' slipped into Lukas Kübler, but referee Tobias Welz did not decide on the penalty (33.) - the 2-0 was made later when Lucas Höler completed a counterattack (68.).

Leipzig actually seemed to have found its way after the weak start to the season: There were seven points from the last three league games, and they missed a surprise at Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. The first half against Greuther Fürth was therefore a relapse: The previously barely competitive climber played out the better chances, Jeremy Dudziak failed to Péter Gulácsi (42nd), and took the lead with a penalty: Nordi Mukiele was in the penalty area on Fürth's Jamie Leweling jumped, Branimir Hrgota pushed in the due penalty (44.).

The grim look of Leipzig trainer Jesse Marsch did not suggest anything good for the half-time address, but the consequences were already there for Leipzig: Less than a minute after the restart, Fürth's Marco Meyerhöfer directed a shot from Yussuf Poulsen over his goalkeeper to equalize in the goal (46 .).

And for Meyerhöfer the afternoon was to be even more bitter, because just a few minutes later he fouled Poulsen in the penalty area, Emil Forsberg converted the penalty and Leipzig had turned the game within seven minutes after the break (52nd).

Dominik Szoboszlai made the decision (65th), Hugo Novoa made the final score (88th).
