Fabio Quartararo is making things difficult for himself.
During the qualifying sessions for the MotoGP Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna, the Yamaha rider did not pass the Q1 cut and will therefore start from 15th position on the grid on Sunday.
And to make matters worse, the French, leader of the world championship (254 points) left the field open to his main rival for the title, Francesco Bagnaia (202), author of the pole position.
Never before had “El Diablo” achieved such (disappointing) performance this season.
A course error that occurs on the weekend when it could be sacred.
In the rain, the Q1 debates took place between Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati), Fabio Quartararo (Bagnaia), Álex Márquez (Honda), Iker Lecuona (Tech 3 KTM) and Álex Rins (Suzuki), for only two qualifying places in Q2.

Bagnaia can postpone the coronation of Quartararo
If Alex Rins had a time believed that he would accompany Francesco Bagnaia in the next round, a yellow flag finally canceled his time, just like that of Quartararo, who therefore inherits a 15th place on the grid, even though he would have started in 13th position without this yellow flag.
With three GPs from the end of the season, that of Emilia-Romagna included, Bagnaia will certainly postpone the possible title promised to his French opponent if the Italian finishes on the podium on Sunday.
Conversely, to celebrate a coronation which extends its arms to him from this Italian GP, Quartararo will not have to concede more points to his rival in the overall standings.
