Mini-storm in the Netherlands ahead of this season's game between Ajax and PSV Eindhoven (17:45, Sport4): Local media criticize PSV's reluctance by some journalists to write a book about former player Willy van der Koilen, who won Nicknamed "Mr. PSV".
Van der Koilen, who played for the club between 1964 and 1981, scored 308 goals in 528 appearances and led Eindhoven to three championships, two trophies and the UEFA Cup, passed away last April after suffering from Alzheimer's. Several Dutch journalists planning to write a book about his resume The legendary striker turned to PSV for help in financing the project, but the club's response was that "we do not consider this necessary."

This reaction provoked criticism in the Netherlands, and one of the sites criticized the club's hypocrisy, in light of Eran Zehavi's copy.
"A book about the greatest player in the history of the club? PSV thinks it is not necessary, because what is important now are the goals and the sale of Eran Zehavi's shirts," they noted.
"Zehavi, an Israeli foreigner, earns 3 million euros a year, not including premiums and bonuses, and comes to training every day with a private driver who takes him from Amsterdam to Eindhoven at the club's expense. They are actually willing to finance that," they added.
PSV has already regretted the response to the book writing initiative and said it would re-examine the issue, following criticism of the group's conduct in the press.
"There were no social networks when Mr. PSV scored all his goals, so he does not sell shirts, and probably should not be commemorated either," another website visited.
Broken priorities?

As you may recall, in recent weeks PSV's financial statements have been revealed, which revealed that apart from a € 6 million salary that Zahavi receives in his two seasons at the club, the team ended the year with losses of € 23 million.
