Syrian swimmer Inana Suleiman won the gold medal in the 1500m freestyle in the Arab Championship, which started today in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, with the participation of 174 male and female swimmers from 16 Arab countries.
Suleiman was able to outperform all the participants in the race to record a record of 17.53 minutes to achieve the first medal for Syria in the mentioned tournament.
Suleiman had succeeded in breaking Syrian records for the 400-meter freestyle race with a time of 4.41.90 minutes, for the 200-meter butterfly race with a time of 2.27.26 minutes, and for the 800-meter freestyle with a time of 9.42.78 minutes, in addition to achieving first place in the Tishreen Trail race in its first edition for the women's category.
