Grafing / Erding - The Erding Gladiators cannot stop the EHC Klostersee either.

On Sunday evening it was a 2: 4 (0: 1, 1: 1, 1: 2) defeat in Grafing.

The front runner against the table runner-up - more top game is not possible.

The gladiators came up with the squad from Friday, at Klostersee there was still no Bob Wren, plus the suspended Vitus Gleixner.

When comparing before the game, it was noteworthy that both teams were equally strong with 42 goals in goal haul, but the difference on the defensive was striking: Erding had an average of 4.6 goals against, the Grafinger one of only 1.7.

The gladiators had the first chance in the first minute through Michael Trox, but then almost only the EHC Klostersee played, and Gladiators keeper Christoph Schedlbauer was almost permanently in the spotlight.

When the Grafinger were outnumbered for the first time, they promptly took the lead.

Philipp Quinlan deflected a shot from Johannes Kroner (7th).

As a result, the hosts had the best chances almost every minute, but Schedlbauer held up brilliantly.

Even when the Grafinger team had two more men on the ice for about a minute and a half, it was unbeatable.

So it went into the cabins for the first time with a more than deserved 1-0 for the EHCK.

The second third began with two outnumbered games for Erding in quick succession. Here the gladiators finally had a chance - Marko Babic (25th) had the biggest, but Philipp Hähl could not be beaten. After that, the Grafinger dominated again, who literally constricted the guests in their thirds. But the gladiators held against it, and what came on goal was a prey for goalie Schedlbauer - up to 32nd minute. When Klosterseer was overpowered, a wrist shot by ex-Erdinger Florian Engel made it 2-0. But the gladiators were far from defeated and fought each other back into the game and when Erding outnumbered Daniel Krzizok 99 seconds before the end of the third to make it 1: 2.

In the last section, both teams continued to give full throttle, and an open exchange of blows developed - still with a slight increase in chances for the hosts. But suddenly the Erdinger cheered when Florian Zimmermann had brilliantly prevailed in a one-on-one situation and scored 2-2 (53rd). Klostersee responded with furious attacks, and just 42 seconds after the equalizer, the puck was 3-2 in the Erdinger goal. Philipp Quinlan had used a rebound. When gladiators coach Vogl took his goalkeeper off the ice for a sixth field player, Gennaro Hördt made everything clear with the 4: 2 52 seconds before the end.
