- The ups and downs continue at SE Freising, victory and defeat are currently alternating cheerfully.

After the home win against Traunstein, coach Alex Plabst's footballers received a very bitter 1: 2 (1: 1) defeat at FC Schwaig on Saturday afternoon at the end of the first half of the season.

It was the last minute of the national league game. Many had already prepared for a fair draw between the two neighboring clubs when everything was turned upside down again. Schwaig, as a climber at least represented in the top four of the league, started another attack - and finally the ball wriggled behind Freising's keeper Maximilian Oswald in the net. The goalscorer? Ben Held, who else should have decided the match (90th).

This state league match got off to a perfect start for the guests from nearby Lerchenfeld.

Freising started briskly and quickly took the lead as a result.

Luka Brudtloff, who had a lot of self-confidence after his two goals last match day, had cleverly prevailed over the left side.

Andreas Hohlenburger only needed to push the subsequent, flat cross over the line (4th).

He didn't like the early deficit: FCS player-coach Ben Held finally switched himself on in the 64th minute - and scored the decisive 2-1.

That sat and gave the yellow-blacks in front of almost 240 spectators. Goalgetter Hohlenburger soon had two more big chances (11th / 14th), but they went just right or could just be cleared by an FCS defender. On the other hand, goalkeeper Maximilian Oswald made a blunder at his season premiere, which remained without consequences, otherwise little came from the hosts. For the SEF, Benedict Geuenich (41st) and Hohlenburger (42nd) had opportunities to make it 2-0. The fact that it went into the break with a draw was due to another defensive mistake from Freising: The Eintracht defenders could not clear a wide cross, Markus Straßer got the ball and finished dry (43.). That was annoying and, above all, unnecessary.

After the break, the audience saw a completely upside-down match.

Before the change, it was the lark fields that determined the game, but Schwaig came out of the cabin as if changed.

Now it was the newcomers to the league around player-coach and ex-SEF player Ben Held who left their mark on the action.

Although the Schwaiger initially had no major chance worth mentioning, the Freising could no longer put themselves in the limelight as they had done in the first half.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

After a good 60 minutes, player-coach Ben Held finally took over - perhaps the decisive moment of the day. A little later, after a foul on Held, there was almost a penalty. On the other hand, Hohlenburger had the great opportunity to decide the game in favor of SE Freising. It smelled like a 1: 1 matched performance - until Held unpacked one more time and thus led Schwaig to victory (90th). Freising claimed offside - but the hit counted. The Freising stood there with empty hands.

SEF coach Plabst was served afterwards.

Not because of the late 1: 2, rather he hadn't liked the general appearance of his team, especially in the central positions.

"There were individual players whose duel behavior was unacceptable," complained Plabst.

"That's not even enough for the district league."
