Maccabi Tel Aviv returned last night (Saturday) to the winning track in the Premier League after convincingly defeating Hapoel Jerusalem 80: 104. The Yellows, who appeared for the game in their strongest roster, dominated the tackle from the start, opened a double-digit lead as early as the second quarter and increased it as the game progressed.
Maccabi players really enjoyed the competition, often danced on the bench, and also as a sign of defiance towards the Hapoel Jerusalem crowd that sat in front of their bench, celebrated demonstratively in many moves and looked excited. Five players finished in double digits with Scotty Wilbkin above all with 18 points including 5 3-pointers Roman Sorkin and Oz Blazer added 14 each and Jaylen Reynolds scored 15 in 19 minutes.
The one who did not stand out was again Jake Cohen who in 11 minutes did not take a single shot, but nevertheless received praise from Yannis Sapropoulos who tried to encourage him.
Cohen, who has not played in the Euroleague this season and has only dressed for two games, would have looked depressed during the previous Euroleague game.

Sport has learned that a number of teams in the Premier League have recently been unofficially groping around Cohen's status, including Hapoel Eilat, which is looking for a replacement for Ben Carter, who has finished the season, but officials at Maccabi Tel Aviv have made it clear that the club does not intend to release Cohen.

"There is a deep staff," said Oz Blazer, who is pleased with the end of the game. "Some play less, some sit on the sidelines, it's part of being at Maccabi Tel Aviv. "We did not play, we will not play in the league in the end either. We have strong guys in mind. I thank the team of coaches who work with us extra, it is not easy after not playing, glad we did the job. We have to be ready for every opportunity."
On last week's loss at Gan Ner, Blazer said: "There is no doubt that the loss at Gilboa should not have happened, it happened and we learned from it. Especially on the mental side of how we came to the game, we did not come sharp and did not come to kill the game from the beginning "And we knew we had to come to every game. Teams come here without pressure, and if you don't come from the beginning it can be a long evening like at Gilboa, you have to come from the beginning to seriously eliminate games."
The forward, who also rarely played in the Euroleague this year, added: "It's legitimate, with the preparation we had, we were supposed to start the Euroleague after eight training games, we started with three. The start was like training games with pressure, no chemistry and there is "More pressure, she has arrived now and she will be better. We will improve over time. I am happy to have a connection with the players, we enjoy on the pitch, even those who play less cheering and put everything on the pitch."
The secret is the paragon.

Maccabi marks the upcoming game against Zalgiris Kaunas as a key to the continuation of the road.
The club know that a win over the Lithuanians will bring them more relaxed for the game against Barcelona and give them a chance against the Catalans on Thursday.
"If we continue the momentum against Jerusalem until Tuesday, we will be able to find ourselves in a great situation in the very near future," the club said last night.
