Washington Wizards train ahead of game against Brooklyn (official website)
After a season-opening two-game winning streak, Washington will face a real test tonight (Monday-Tuesday, 2:30 p.m.) when it hosts Brooklyn.
The Nets may come into the game after a not-so-easy season opener and while the uncertainty surrounding Kyrie Irving continues, it is still a team full of talent, one that the Wizards have yet to meet this season.
Ahead of the game, coach Wes Ansald Jr. also referred, among other things, to the combination of Danny Abdia, who in the last win over Indiana scored just two points, and still not expressed enough on the offensive side, with averages of 5 points per game.
"Danny plays strong, sometimes he does not play with enough certainty and confidence, we need to do a better job of defining his position for him, whether he is a small forward or a power forward," says Ansald Jr., who is looking for solutions to involve the Israeli more.
"Thanks to the style we play, players can move from position to position, and Danny did show sparks of a primary or secondary playmaker, but when the ball is not in his hands sometimes it is a bit lost. We may need to simplify the attacking game a bit and let him play only in position 4."

Ansald Jr. says in Abdia's defense that "defensively he is very good. He keeps guards and forwards and does a nice job, but the attack may need to let him worry about less things, and make him effective even in simpler moves."
The Wizards' positive season opener did not go unnoticed by commentators in the United States, and in ESPN's latest strength gauge after the first week of the season, Washington was ranked 16th - a climb of five places compared to the previous ranking.
"The Wizards started the season with two wins, and it looks like Bradley Bill is finally getting help from the veteran players next to him," ESPN explained.
"General manager Tommy Shepherd has added depth to the team, and Spencer Dinwidi and Kyle Kozma have also stood out so far. Now they will try to maintain a clean sheet from losses even after the test in Brooklyn."
