Premiere at ASV Habach: The "Run for Kids" took place for the first time.

The participants went into the race over 5 and 10 kilometers - also for a good cause.

The color neon yellow played a very special role in both runs.

Habach - The coat of arms of ASV Habach shines in white and blue, it is also easily visible painted on the stately clubhouse.

However, the color of the winners at the club's first “Run for Kids” was a high-pitched neon yellow.

The fastest of the day on the two routes - Johannes Bornschlegl over 5 kilometers and Michel Aufleger over 10 kilometers - had chosen such a running shirt independently of each other.

But that's not the only reason why they stood out from the crowd of around 120 participants.

Both showed remarkable performances on the demanding 5-kilometer circuit with several gradients and each won by a large margin.

Run for Kids: Best weather, demanding route

The organizers wanted to combine sport and social engagement, Katharina Wagner and Anna Ottl had the idea for the run - it was a success. “We were already excited,” said Wagner after all the winners were honored. "I have the feeling that everything went well." The wonderful autumn weather with sunshine and pleasant temperatures played into the cards for the ASV. Many helpers ensured that everything went smoothly. The time measurement, always a neuralgic point, worked without any problems. The lists of results were at hand in no time. Several participants have already asked whether the run would be held again next year. Those responsible are willing in any case. The donation total was a proud 6000 euros above the previously calculated amount. ASV chairman Dominik Üblacker spoke of "a great action".He has heard words of praise from numerous runners.

In addition to the organization, the route was also well received. The circuit in the direction of Reinthaler Bichel had it with constant ups and downs. “Demanding” is how the 5-kilometer winner Johannes Bornschlegl called the loop. But it was good for him: The route "they chose well," he told the organizers. After 20:49 minutes, the TSV Penzberg athlete crossed the finish line at the sports field. "The time is fine," he said. Bornschlegl practiced understatement when he ran “within the scope of my possibilities”. Born in 1957, he was the second oldest man in the field. The two oldest participants came from Polling: Peter Grünebach (73) shone with a time of 25:33 minutes as an overall eighth among 40 women and men. Wife Marianne Grünebach (67) left 14 athletes behind with 30:47 minutes in the overall standings.

The fastest woman over the 5 kilometers was Anna Ottl, who came in third overall after 23:49 minutes behind ASV footballer Benedikt Heckmeier (23:06).

She was “totally satisfied.

I wanted to stay under 25 minutes. ”She had never competed in this kind of competition before.

Most of the participants started over the 10 kilometers;

also a walker (Sonja Strobl) was one of them.

The later winner of the day, Michel Aufleger, was ahead from the start.

Already after the first lap (completed in 18:54 minutes) he had developed a clear lead.

With a time of 38:18 minutes, the 28-year-old from Beuerberg won clearly.

The other podium places went to triathlete Christopher Robold (39:07) from Post SV Weilheim and Hubert Maier (40:46) from LG Staffelsee.

Aufleger was satisfied.

He had aimed for a time of less than 40 minutes.

Up to now he had never run ten kilometers in a competition, he had only covered longer distances.

He recently ran his first marathon in Munich (in 3:01:11 hours).

“That's why I had trained a lot recently,” said Aufleger.

The best over the 10 kilometers: Katharina Lamm (44:52 minutes) and Michel Aufleger (38:18) were the fastest of the day on the long distance.

Katharina Lamm was fastest of the day in women with 44:52 minutes.

Until last year she had played soccer for the regional division BCF Wolfratshausen, but now she has switched to the field of runners.

The aim was to create “a good time” - she definitely achieved that.

In any case, she easily undercut her self-set mark of 50 minutes with an average speed of 13.4 km / h.

The other two women on the podium, both from ASV Habach, also stayed under a kilometer time of five minutes: Katharina Wagner (49:43) came second, Anke Hülsmann (49:56) came third overall.

The spectators in the start / finish area gave a lot of applause - and were well entertained by moderator Tobias Wagner.

The stadium announcer of the Habach footballers came out as a non-runner, but still showed expertise and always appropriate humor.

He also skilfully led through the award ceremony of the obstacle course for children.

The youngest proved their skills on a course set up by the trainers of the ASV children's running team.

The 54 young athletes were proud of the medals they received, regardless of their placement.

6000 Euro donation for the "Parents' Initiative Intern-3"

As the name suggests, the ASV Habach's “Run for Kids” had a social aspect.

The entire entry fee went to the parents' initiative Intern-3 of the “Dr.

von Haunersche Children's Hospital ”in Munich.

In addition, the main sponsor "Triga-S" doubled the amount of the entry fee, and numerous other Habach companies also donated.

This raised the proud sum of 6,000 euros, which was handed over to Margarete Bader from the parents' initiative in the form of a symbolic check after the award ceremony.

Children with cancer are treated in the "Intern-3" ward. Bader - the Ohlstadt native is the initiative's treasurer - described in a few words, but impressively, which projects are supported with such donations. The personnel costs for the psychosocial specialist service are covered, renovations on the ward are paid for and apartments are rented near the clinic in order to enable parents to stay close to their children during sometimes months of therapy. Activities such as the “clinic clowns” try to make the children's stay easier. Financially, "the children's clinics in Germany are all struggling," said Bader. She is all the more pleased about donations. The running organizers thanked: Württembergische Versicherung, fuchs + heckmeier GmbH, Bischl Holzhandlung,Bischl Feinmechanik, Carpentry Neuner, Trödler, Eichbichlstüberl, Sägewerk Leiß, Elektro Kirnberger, Corpore and GM Gala-Bau GmbH.
