Connected to the club: Will Vladan Ivic agree to return to Maccabi Tel Aviv?
The Serbian coach has been sitting at home since December and Kiryat Shalom hopes that the good relations and an estimated salary of about 800,000 euros per season will convince him to return.
Otherwise, the appointment of a foreign professional manager is also an option.
Yitzhaki's appointment is not limited in time

Maccabi Tel Aviv's first priority after the dismissal of Patrick Van Leven tonight (Tuesday) after midnight is the return of Vladan Ivic.
The Serbian coach, who won two championships with Maccabi Tel Aviv, had hoped to advance to the league in Western Europe after being fired from Watford, but has been at home since December.
First he stayed in London until his children finished the school year and since the summer he has been at home in Thessaloniki.
Although he has been out of work for almost a year, Ivica has rejected a number of offers he has had in recent months from Greece, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, Serbia and even from China.
Ivica was in no hurry to jump on every offer made to him and returning to Israel is not the thing he most wants to do at the moment, but the Serbs have many sentiments for Maccabi Tel Aviv and he is very fond of Barak Yitzhaki.
The connection between the two was excellent when Ivitch coached Maccabi Tel Aviv and when Yitzhaki was looking for a striker, Ivitch warmly recommended him to Stipa Fritza.
There is a great friendship between the two, so this will also have an effect on Ivica's decision whether to respond to the request from Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Beyond his professional ambitions, Ivica would like to know if he can succeed this season when the staff of Maccabi Tel Aviv is weakened. Players like Omar Atzili and Dor Micha who were with him at the championships left a long time ago and last summer Dor Peretz and Yonatan Cohen also left the club. The assumption is that if he comes, it will be on a one-and-a-half year contract and maybe even two and a half years at a much higher salary than he had at Maccabi Tel Aviv in the first term - so, remember, he started with a contract of 350,000 euros net and jumped to 500,000 euros net in the second season . It is estimated that a net contract of 800 thousand euros will greatly promote the chance of repaying it.
If things do not work out and Ivica does not return to coach Maccabi Tel Aviv, the club will consider two alternatives: bring in a new foreign coach, and this requires time because Maccabi Tel Aviv is working at a relatively slow pace in appointing coaches, or alternatively beyond another program. Be the one to choose a foreign coach for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
One way or another, Barak Yitzhaki was told last night that his temporary appointment is not limited in time and that he may also train against Kiryat Shmona on Saturday and also the Tel Aviv derby in the following round.
In two weeks, the league will go on a three-week break, so if things do not work out easily against Ivica, Maccabi Tel Aviv will probably not be in a hurry and wait with the decisions after the Tel Aviv derby.

Patrick Van Leven received the announcement of his end minutes after leaving Bloomfield last night. He was sitting in front of the bus of the team that left the stadium with hundreds of fans narrowing on him and asking for his head. Similar to Georgius Donis whom he replaced, Van Leven also received the phone message after which Mitch Goldhaar's decision went out to the media around one past midnight. Simultaneously with the dismissal of Van Leven, a conversation took place with Yitzhaki who serves as the head of the club's football department and it was agreed that he would serve as the interim coach. Yitzhaki has completed his studies in the pro course and he holds a coaching certificate so that he can continue to coach the team until the permanent coach is appointed.
Following last night's decision to fire Van Leven, the ball is now in the court of the players who were recently immune due to the sharp criticism towards the Dutchman.
Maccabi Tel Aviv now expect the players to raise themselves and whether Yitzhaki coaches them in the near future or whether a coach is appointed soon, they will start playing football and accumulate points: "This is no longer a joke. We are a bottom team," a Maccabi Tel Aviv source said last night.
"Now we need to see the players. If they really had that bad and difficult under Patrick, let's see them now change 180 degrees."

On Saturday, Maccabi Tel Aviv will be hosted by Kiryat Shmona, without Sharan Yeni and Elon Almog removed and probably with Barak Yitzhaki on the lines.
The Yellows, it will be recalled, are still without an away point this season.
