Land of the Lowlands: Patrick van Leven joined the parade of the Dutch fired
Stam was thrown out of Cincinnati, Van Bommel was thrown from Wolfsburg and Coman's chair in Barcelona swung.
Most leagues in Europe have lost faith in Dutch coaches in recent years, so was anyone surprised when the Maccabi Tel Aviv coach followed in the footsteps of Atfeld and others?

Ashdod 2: 0 (Sports 1)
Barcelona and Maccabi Tel Aviv are separated by much more than 3,000 kilometers and a flight of several hours, but there are also similarities. Patrick Van Leven was fired in the middle of the night from the Yellows, while according to reports in Spain the Catalans will also part ways with their Dutch boss soon.
Ronald Koeman (Barcelona) and Peter Boss (Lyon) are the only Dutchmen standing on the lines in the big five leagues. Even in Russia, which once believed in football professors from the Netherlands, there are no Dutch coaches today. Not even in the sub-leagues in Germany and England, Turkey or the Scottish Premier League - all leagues in which there was once a handsome representation.
Today there are no Dutch coaches in Turkey, Cyprus and Greece, nor in Austria, Hungary and Poland.
There are no Dutch coaches in Portugal or the Czech Republic, Ukraine or Italy, nor in any of the first leagues in Scandinavia or the Balkans.
In the league in Malta there is a Dutch coach and also in neighboring Belgium there is one.
His name is John Van den Brom and he coaches Genk who has lost five games in a row in all competitions and has not scored a goal in 289 minutes.
So not sure you should build on that for much longer.

Europe is losing faith in the Dutch coach.
Van Leven (Photo: Bernie Ardov)
The good old days of Dutch coaches outside their homeland - people like Jose Hiddink, Dick Advocate and even Brett van Marwick, Louis van Gaal, Frank Rijkaard and Ronald Koeman who have succeeded at certain stages - seem far away today.
Philip Coco was unsuccessful in Turkey and England, Frank de Boer failed at Inter and Crystal Palace and even Coman himself was sacked from Everton.
In the last four months, quite a few Dutch coaches around the globe have finished their work before the date specified in their contracts (excluding coaches who work in Dutch teams).
And Patrick Van Leven became next in line on the list.
When you look around, or when you think of Raymond Atfeld, Fred Rotten, Rob Mass, Rene Molenstein and even Ton Cannon - it is hard to say that such a move is surprising.
One has left, the other is still here.

Dutch fired in the last 4 months (excluding Dutch teams)
Ari van Lenten - On June 26, he was fired from the
former striker
Montrahking,
who played for Werder Bremen and Borussia Mönchengladbach, among others, arrived to bring Unterhaking back to the German sub-league and relegated with them to the fourth division instead. Under him the Bavarians finished a season of 38 games with 9 wins, 5 draws and 24 losses. At the end of the season he was replaced by former Bayern Munich striker Sandro Wagner.
Frank de Boer - Fired from the Netherlands on June 29 The
great former player was appointed to the team when Ronald Koeman left for Barcelona, but did not repeat the success of his predecessor. The 2-0 loss to the Czech Republic in the quarter-finals of Euro 2020 convinced the heads of the association to part with him despite a home stage that included 9 points out of 9 possible.
Yap Stam - Fired on September 27 from Cincinnati
The legendary past brake stood on Cincinnati's lines from the MLS and did not do so with great success. A 4-2 loss to DC United on September 26 - the sixth loss of the last seven games so far - was his last game for the team.
Raymond Atfeld - was fired on September 29 from Maccabi Netanya,
one of three Dutchmen who started the season on the lines in the Israeli Premier League. The talk of dissatisfaction with his job accompanied the start of the season for Maccabi Netanya and he was sent off after a 2-0 loss to Hapoel Hadera in the fourth round.
Mark van Bommel - Fired on 24 October from Wolfsburg
The former Dutch national team midfielder held only 13 games in all competitions. The start of the season was actually promising and included 12 points out of 12 possible in the Bundesliga, but the 0: 2 over Groeter Firth on September 11 was the last victory. since? 8 consecutive games without a win. The fourth straight loss, 2-0 to Freiburg, signaled to Van Bommel the way home.
Patrick Van Leven - Dismissed on October 25 from Maccabi Tel Aviv The
poor ability of Maccabi Tel Aviv was also joined by particularly bad results.
The 2: 0 loss to MS.
Ashdod was the Yellows' fourth in the seven opening rounds and the Dutchman finished his way.
