The Attenkirchen footballers prevailed at home against the previously undefeated favorites TSV Neubeuert 2-0 (1-0) and climbed to fourth place in the district league table.
The hosts got off to a good start: After a cross pass from striker Verena Kiermeier at the edge of the box, Maria Burger netted “brutally and mercilessly” (Urban) from ten meters to make it 1-0 (5th).
Afterwards, the SpVgg women also had a lot of chances: If a sharp flat corner hissed through the penalty area, a shot was fired at the inside post shortly afterwards.
"With a 4-0 win at halftime, nobody should have complained," coach Urban criticized his team's exploitation of chances.
The second half was also characterized by the hostesses' many opportunities.
The players from TSV Neubeuer, on the other hand, did not even come dangerously in front of the game association's box during the entire game.
Verena Kiermeier then headed the 2-0 after a great cross from the strong Anna Aumann (69th).
“We are currently going through a nice team development - all players are constantly improving.
You can just enjoy that as a coach, ”says Urban, whose team is now fourth in the district league table.
He hopes for a similar performance next Saturday (6 p.m.) in the home game against the second representative from Bad Aibling.
