The Nice and the Olympians meet this Wednesday at the Aube stadium in Troyes to play the match of the third day of Ligue 1

Nice - Marseille act II. More than two months after their first clash, the two L1 formations meet this Wednesday in Troyes (Aube) to replay behind closed doors this very important match at the top of the L1 table. The winner will climb, in fact, to 2nd place behind PSG. The two teams therefore faced each other on August 22 for the 3rd day. The meeting had ended when there was only a quarter of an hour to play because of the invasion of the field by Nice supporters and overflows with the players of both teams. Nice then led 1-0. The Riviera club then received a penalty point on the decision of the disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League (LFP).

The latter decided to replay the match at the Aube stadium in Troyes. While most of the matches to be replayed on neutral grounds took place in recent seasons in Gueugnon (Saône-et-Loire), it will take place in the lair of the L1 formation due to several criteria: the enclosure should not be part of the Mediterranean league, or a neighboring league, it had to be equipped with video refereeing assistance devices and goal line technology and finally satisfy the broadcaster of the Amazon match.

The match will therefore take place behind closed doors, but the Aube prefecture nevertheless preferred to duplicate a decree published on Tuesday ahead of the meeting, in which the prefect announces "the ban on the gathering of people availing themselves of the quality of supporters of Nice or Marseille, in the immediate vicinity of the Aube stadium ”. The prefecture intends, thus, to protect itself from the slightest incident outside the enclosure.

Three days after a rather successful clasico against PSG (0-0), the Marseillais (4th in the standings) will try to stumble the Riviera formation in order to return to Lens (2nd) and thus validate an excellent start to the seasons.

Opposite, the Nice (3rd) remain on a stunning success against Olympique Lyonnais (3-2) Sunday after being led 0-2 10 minutes from the end.

Four players will not appear on the scoresheet.

If Andy Delort will miss the Aiglons, Jorge Sampaoli will be deprived of Pol Lirola, Amine Harit and Leonardo Balerdi because these players were not qualified at the time of the first meeting.
