FC Barcelona parted ways with their coach Ronald Koeman after losing 1-0 to Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday, the Catalan club announced on Wednesday.
"FC Barcelona sacked Ronald Koeman as coach of the first team tonight," the club announced on Twitter.
Barcelona are in ninth place in the Primera Division with 15 points from ten games.
In their Champions League group, the club are in third place with three points from three games after losing 3-0 in their first two games against Bayern Munich and Benfica.
Koeman, who had spent six years as a player at Barca, was brought back to the club by former president Josep Maria Bartomeu in August 2020.
