Two weeks after the premature end of the game between Bergisch HC and HSG Wetzlar, the Bundesliga handball league was again abandoned due to a medical emergency.
The game of HSV handball against MT Melsungen in the Hamburg sports hall was affected.
In the 22nd minute there was an incident at the stand of 8:11 in the stands.
The game was interrupted immediately.
After ten minutes, both teams went into the dressing room while the affected spectator received medical attention.
The home team felt unable to continue the game because the spectator was someone "from the family environment" of a HSV professional.
This is what HSVH President Marc Evermann said in an interview with "Magentasport".
The Melsung players said goodbye to the Hamburg audience, the encounter was canceled.
The viewer was "conscious," said Evermann.
He and the clubs involved did not provide any further information about the state of health.
The handball Bundesliga must now decide on the evaluation of the game or a possible rescheduling.
