Killers in their own ranks: Eberhardt's mistake initiates a 2: 4 defeat against the ice pirates

Bad Tölz - The Tölz ice hockey drama continues unchecked. Against the Eispiraten Crimmitschau, Kevin Gaudet's team lost 4-2 after a catastrophic defensive performance in the meantime. The third home bankruptcy in a row shows that the Lions are not really competitive in their current personnel constellation, but at least they are severely limited.

Nevertheless, the boys ironed out this mistake. In the first of only three power plays, Ian Brady put the disc into the mesh with a concealed blueliner - 1: 1. After that, the Tölzer were fast in the action, especially in the direction of Crimmitschau housing, the story fit. Philipp Schlager and Grant Besse just missed a possible opening goal. With the second part of the game, however, the Tölzer's chronic weakness appeared much more massive. In the end, all three goals conceded were gifts to the guests. The ice pirates seemed staid in their offensive efforts. But why should they complicate it? Practically every disc loss by the lions led to a return move, and against an anything but solid defender quartet immediately to further advantage for the guests.A hit for the unspectacular West Saxons, especially since they could rely on their goalkeeper. Luca Gracnar justified the investment in an import point at the goalie with calm, overview and reflexes. The Tölzer attack efforts, however, became increasingly homely. Although the hosts kept running, there were hardly any really compelling moments in the portfolio. But Dibelka alone would not have answered the quality question on Friday evening.

Proof of this was provided by the final third.

The lions practically with one-way street hockey, Crimmmitschau only in bone-dry administrator mode.

But whatever the boys did, they kept access to Gracnar's housing.

Only Thomas Merl did a bit of cosmetic results at the end of the day, with twice the majority.

Gaudet’s growing desperation doesn’t even give rise to slogans for perseverance.

When asked how things should go on in the long run: "I don't know, we have to somehow cheat our way through."
