Four weeks after his 40th birthday, star striker Zlatan Ibrahimović has reached another career milestone: The Swede took the lead in AC Milan's 2-1 (1-0) win against AS Roma and thus scored the 400th league goal his career. After Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Ibrahimović is the third active professional to reach this mark. Ibrahimović scored his first goal in a professional league in the past millennium, when he was 18 years old in the shirt of the Swedish first division club Malmö FF on October 30, 1999.
22 years and one day later, the old star scored 1-0 (25th) with a free kick in the top Serie A game against the Romans trained by José Mourinho.
Another goal was denied Ibrahimović due to an offside position (50th), a little later the attacker took out the penalty, which Franck Kessié converted to 2-0 (57th).
Stephan El Shaarawy shortened for Roma (90. + 3), Milan was already outnumbered after receiving the yellow-red card against Theo Hernández (66.).
With the win, Milan are level on points with leaders Napoli and are seven points ahead of champions and city rivals Inter.
The lead over record champions Juventus is already 16 points.
Ibrahimović has also played for Inter and Juventus in Italy, with a total of 150 goals in Serie A. Ibrahimović was also active in Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, France and the USA.
