Unterhaching - According to a report, a possible transfer of young international Karim Adeyemi could bring in millions for his ex-club SpVgg Unterhaching.
According to information from "Bild" and "Sportbild", the regional soccer team will receive 22.5 percent of the transfer fee when the 19-year-old RB Salzburg striker moves next.
Over the past few weeks and months, Haching boss Manfred Schwabl had repeatedly spoken of the fact that if Adeyemis were to change, there would be a proper second for SpVgg Unterhaching.
But that Schwabl was able to negotiate such a high proportion of a possible transfer fee is surprising.
The chronically clammy regional league could certainly use such a warm rain of money.
First, "Euro am Sonntag" reported in its issue published on October 22nd about a transfer participation by Unterhachinger.
"Of course, I won't give exact figures, but it will be an order of magnitude that will open up completely different economic and structural opportunities for Haching in the future," SpVgg President Manfred Schwabl told the magazine.
FC Bayern is also interested in the lightning-fast and explosive striker
Recently, there had been speculation that Bayern Munich was trying to get the professional footballer to commit.
In addition to the German record champions, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool FC are also said to be interested.
A transfer fee should be around 30 to 40 million euros - that would bring Unterhaching at least 6.75 million euros.
Adeyemi was trained at SpVgg from 2012 to 2018.
At the age of 16 he moved to Austria to RB Salzburg for 3.35 million euros.
Haching President Schwabl is said to have negotiated the 22.5 percent clause.
The club went public in 2019 as a third division team at the time.
Last season, Haching was relegated from the 3rd division.
This season, coach Sandro Wagner's team will most likely not be able to return to professional business.
