The SV Vötting-Weihenstephan is in front of a pile of broken glass.

After the failed new elections last Friday, the club is practically leaderless.

It even threatens the end.

Freising

- Sports advisor and election supervisor Jürgen Mieskes no longer understood the world.

Because nobody wanted to run for one of the leadership positions.

It had already been leaked that the first chairman Werner Vogl and his deputy Markus Köhler would no longer run.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

“Who feels called?” Asked Mieskes in the ranks of the almost 60 participants.

Someone suggested Monika Obermeier from the membership administration.

But even she just shook her head.

The same game with auditor Gaby Nitschke.

"As long as it is not clear who is on the board - unfortunately not!" Was her answer.

The situation was precarious.

Because treasurer Stefan Holzer was no longer a candidate either.

There was no successor for him either.

Only secretary Christine Eberl and her deputy Thomas Stable were still available.

Both were unanimously confirmed in their offices.

In the end, Mieskes stated that this was not a condition for one of the largest clubs in Freising.

He suggested that we sit down as soon as possible and try to consolidate.

At some point the district court will intervene

Reinhard Senftl, head of the tennis department for many years, then explained how tricky the situation is.

He regretted that in such a case the statutes unfortunately did not provide that the previous chairman had to continue to run the association until a new board was found.

Perhaps one should consider changing this, said Senftl.

He suggested that an extraordinary general meeting should be called as soon as possible in order to find a solution.

That seems sorely needed, because the club is threatened with extinction.

As it turned out in a short debate, at some point the district court intervened.

Then an emergency board would be used to wind up the association, it said.

Football department head Christoph Nitschke called for the board crisis: “We have to compensate for this from within the departments.” He made a fiery appeal to the members.

Accordingly, there are fewer and fewer within the association who are willing to take on tasks.

"We have to turn that around again," demanded Nitschke.

As an example of what has to be done, he named the economy in the clubhouse.

Since there is no longer a tenant, volunteers take care of it.

Nevertheless, there is also positive news

Another building site for the club is the long-awaited third soccer field including floodlights. Nitschke made sure that it is urgently needed in the games and training operations of a total of 16 teams. Mieskes said that the city is in the process of getting the problem under control. Site surveys have been carried out in the area of the western bypass. However, there are problems because the space is in the floodplain and nature conservation also plays a role. You stay tuned, but he cannot yet name a point in time when and where exactly the playing field will be realized.

Despite all of this, there was also positive news.

For example, the fact that, according to Vogl, it has been possible to keep the membership stable at over 900 members despite Corona.

SV Vötting is also doing well financially.

According to treasurer Stefan Holzer, a surplus of 60,000 euros has recently been achieved.

And that despite the fact that 17,000 euros were spent on a new bowling alley.

Against this background, the question arose why the club management was no longer willing to continue.

When asked by FT, Vogl explained that the reason for his withdrawal were internal quarrels and personal attacks from the departments and individual members.

After careful consideration, this led him to the decision to give up his office and not run again.
