Not every referee would have given this red card: Borussia Dortmund had to do without Mats Hummels early on against Ajax - and lost despite the lead. Leipzig has been eliminated from the Champions League.

Borussia Dortmund had defended a lead against Ajax Amsterdam for a long time with only ten men, but ultimately lost.

In the home game, BVB played 1: 3 (1: 0) against the Dutch and now has six points in Group C as well as Sporting Lisbon.

Front runner Ajax has twelve points.

Borussia had to play outnumbered from the 29th minute because of a controversial red card against Mats Hummels.

The defender had been sent off for a tackle against Anthony.

Although he hadn't hit the ball, the attack was carried out from the side and Hummels hadn't fully caught his opponent.

But despite the video referee, the decision remained.

Ten of them were able to take the lead surprisingly.

Jude Bellingham went down in the penalty area after touching his opponent lightly.

After viewing the video images, the referee decided on a penalty - Marco Reus converted (37th).

But the longer the game lasted, the more Dortmund was put on the defensive.

Dušan Tadić, the man who always plays, although he doesn't actually fit Ajax, it was then who pushed the ball over the line after a long cross (72nd).

A painful goal: Tadic then slipped against the post with his legs apart.

And it got even more bitter for BVB: The Frenchman Sébastien Haller was able to turn the game in favor of the Dutch in the final phase with his goal (83rd).

The final point was Davy Klaassen (90th + 3).

RB Leipzig dropped out of the Champions League after just four match days.

The Bundesliga side played 2-2 (1-2) against the French club Paris St. Germain and can no longer jump to one of the first two places in Group A with one point.

Leipzig took the lead early on, the goal was initiated by a failed pass from PSG attacker Ángel Di María.

After a cross from André Silva, it was Christopher Nkunku who headed the 1-0 (8th).

A good start - which Leipzig could even have expanded: PSG player Danilo Pereira first knocked Silva over, who took the penalty himself - and shot the ball into the arms of keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma (12th).

The missed opportunity should take revenge.

Because the Dutch international Georginio Wijnaldum turned the game with a double.

First he pushed in from a few meters to equalize (21st), then he hit with his head.

However, the goal only counted after viewing the video images (39th).

Leipzig was able to equalize with a penalty from Dominik Szoboszlai (90 + 2) - but that was no longer enough.
