Agostina Gandolfo, the wife of Inter striker Lautro Martinez, caused a stir in Italy after she claimed to have arrived at a restaurant in Milan with her football partner, and received a "smooth" menu, which did not say the prices of the dishes.
Gandolfo is an "influencer" on Instagram, owns a fashion blog, and has about 900,000 followers on Instagram.
The 25-year-old Argentine, who has lived in Italy since 2018, is already the mother of a 9-month-old girl, and after seeing the menu, could not remain indifferent, sparking a debate in boot country.

According to her, she was surprised to find that there are restaurants where women are given a menu where the prices are not specified, while for men the prices and cost of each dish are written.
"Did you know that some restaurants in Italy do not write the prices of dishes on menus that give women?", She wrote in astonishment, "and what if I wanted to pay? That women can not pay if they are luxury restaurants? ".

Of course this claim drew quite a few angry reactions from women and followers, but it turned out that some restaurateurs justify this approach and find nothing wrong with it.
Rosella Cara, director of the restaurant "De Vittorio" (3 Michelin stars), defended the traditional custom and said: "If there is a couple at the table, we tend to give the 'empty' menu to a woman. This is not discrimination, just a kind of gentlemanly politeness. It's a way to advise a woman to enjoy the meal, the atmosphere, the good food, without worrying about banal things. "
