They will be "only" 900 PSG supporters this Wednesday evening in Leipzig (Germany) for the shock against RB in the Champions League.
They could have been much more numerous but the Ultras Paris Collective (CUP) is ultimately not participating in the trip due to health constraints, as announced this Wednesday by France Bleu Paris.
The 900 expected fans therefore come to Leipzig as independents.
The reason for this cancellation of the CUP trip is to be found in the decision of RB Leipzig to grant a full tonnage for outdoor parking, namely 5% of the capacity of the Red Bull Arena, or just over 2,000 places. This decision, taken 10 days ago, imposes more important rules on UEFA's part. All supporters must be vaccinated against Covid-19 with two doses.
People who have already contracted the disease and have only been vaccinated once can therefore not go to the stadium.
Just like people who have been treated with a single-dose vaccine.
In France, these two solutions provide access to the “sanitary pass” and therefore to the Parc des Princes.
But for Leipzig, this is not enough.
Unable to guarantee double doses for all its members, the CUP therefore remains in Paris.
And it will be the same for the trip on November 24 to Manchester City, the United Kingdom imposing double-dose vaccines for all its visitors.
