LE SCAN SPORT - In order to pay off the debts and pay the expenses of the former champion who died on November 26, 2020, an auction of some of his property is planned in Argentina.

The house offered by Diego Maradona to his parents, two BMWs and a letter from the late Cuban leader Fidel Castro were included in the lot of the footballer's property which will be auctioned on December 19, according to a court decision cited by the Argentinian press.

The online auctions will take place with the agreement of the heirs of the winner of the 1986 World Cup, in whose memory a tribute is scheduled on 25 November.

The earnings generated will be used to pay the debts and expenses of the champion

Vehicles, real estate and personal items will be put up for sale by decision of Judge Luciana Tedesco.

Goods with emotional value such as shirts donated by other players at the footballer's funeral will be excluded from the auction.

The letter signed Fidel was born out of the friendship between the ex-Cuban leader and Maradona, while the latter was staying on the Caribbean island to try to overcome his addictions, which twice brought him close to death.

One of the two BMW cars bears the signature of the "

Pibe de oro

" (golden kid) engraved on the windshield, with a starting price of 165,000 dollars.

The house Maradona gave to her parents is located in the Villa Devoto neighborhood in Buenos Aires.

A real estate company will soon be launching a call for tenders for websites located anywhere in the world.

The earnings generated by this sale will be used to pay the debts and expenses of the champion and will not be distributed among the heirs.
