Corona alarm at the Wanderers: Germering's national ice hockey league has at least four positive cases to complain about.

Those responsible have therefore decided to cancel the two away games on Friday in Bad Wörishöfen and on Sunday in Lechbruck - to be on the safe side, as President Albert Bittl says.

"We don't want to carry the virus into the opponents' hall."

Germering - It was already indicated on Wednesday.

Several players had a positive result on rapid tests.

Because the executive board was also in close contact with the team, the annual meeting planned for Thursday evening was canceled at short notice.

For the games, they wanted to wait for confirmation by PCR tests.

These confirmations then gradually arrived at the Wanderers on Thursday.

At the time of the rejection, there were already four positive cases.

“But we still have a handful of positive rapid tests for which the PCR test result is not yet available,” said Bittl in the afternoon.

Bitter: Almost everyone around the national ice hockey league team is vaccinated - from the coaching team to the players and supervisors to the helpers and officials.

“That's the bad thing,” says Bittl.

“You've already been vaccinated, and then something like that will happen anyway.” It is not yet clear when the two games in Wörishofen and Lechbruck will be rescheduled.

The association sees the development of game cancellations with concern.

Only recently, a game by Germering's district neighbor Fürstenfeldbruck was canceled due to a suspected corona case.

Playgroup leader Alfred Doenicke: "We currently have alternative dates, but if this continues, it will be exciting at some point."

The implementation regulations stipulate that a coefficient rule applies if not all failed games can be made up.

However, more than 75 percent of the championship games must have been completed by then.

Otherwise there is a risk of a new season break without evaluation.
