The Würmtal is known for high-class volleyball - for women.
TSV Neuried now also wants to offer the male area a base.
Neuried - It is no secret that the Würmtal is known for high-class volleyball.
TV Planegg-Krailling plays with its first women's team in the 2nd Bundesliga South and also regularly takes part in Bavarian and German championships with young women.
In the male area, on the other hand, there is an extreme need to catch up.
Würmtal is only a house brand in female volleyball
Male youth from the Würmtal do not even play a role in the Upper Bavaria district. For men, there are hardly any reported Würmtaler teams in play. The majority appear in mixed or leisure teams for TV, SV Planegg-Krailling, Gautinger SC or TSV Neuried. The latter now wants to change something about the status quo and is therefore striving for a new concept for male volleyball offspring - a kind of base for the Würmtal and the surrounding area.
The idea came to those responsible at TSV Neuried around volleyball department head Steffen Witte even before the corona pandemic.
“We couldn't continue our U19 because of the lack of young talent,” says Witte, who then developed the idea of a base “with a new training and support concept for boys between the ages of eleven and 15”.
“That is missing in the area,” says Witte.
TSV Neuried develops a new concept for male youth volleyball
The ultimate goal is to increase the TSV's adult teams in the long term, explains Witte. There are currently three mixed teams and a young men's team (district league) playing in Neuried. “They should be strengthened in the long term. We want to develop sustainable youth work, from which there should be a smooth transition to the adult sector. ”At least one youth team should always be registered in an official league of the Bavarian Volleyball Association (BVV).
To this end, TSV Neuried has now come up with a new concept "as a guideline for promoting children and young people, which should create enthusiasm and enjoyment in the sport," explains department head Witte.
The trainer of the new youth team, Edinson Kaltenmark, who is currently also looking after the team of young men at TSV, adds: “Our training concept is based on five pillars, which are intended to promote the various skills of children and young people.
In addition to the sporting facilities such as technique, coordination and tactics, social and psychological skills are in the foreground of the training. "
TSV Neuried volleyball base: To start with, a training session
At the start of the new concept, the TSV Neuried is offering "a screening training for every young volleyball fan from the region", as the club announced in a press release.
Boys between the ages of eleven and 15 are invited to the sports hall in the Neuried Sports Park on Tuesday, November 9th, starting at 5.30 p.m.
“Every child and every young person, regardless of their talent, is warmly welcome, provided they are willing to participate in regular training sessions and be part of a community”, emphasizes Coach Kaltenmark.
