He would have loved it if the first half of the season had ended. "I'm being completely honest: I would want nothing more than the winter break." But the schedule does not provide for relaxation. Three more games are due in November, including the district derby on Sunday (2.30 p.m.) against 1. FC Penzberg, who comes to Raisting electrified and, above all, rested.

Because in Penzberg the mood barometer is currently pointing in the other, positive direction. The game-free weekend was used by the coach and team to catch their breath. Coach Martin Wagner went on a wellness excursion with the woman. "The break was good after the turbulent weeks," says the FCP coach. In addition, four units remained to integrate Maximilian Berwein, the newcomer. This process is going faster than expected. “Maxi convinced me because he pulls the team with him. He's a crazy guy. You need one like this especially in a derby. ”Nonetheless, Wagner relieves his storm star of pressure. He does not put Berwein in the starting line-up. "The guy has never had any match experience." But of course sooner or later he will send him onto the field and let loose on the best defense in the league.

"Penzberg can beat anyone." Especially since his team isphysically and mentally exhausted. The SVR has been sending the same eleven men to the field for weeks. “This is slowly becoming our doom. The last games were on reserve. ”Nevertheless, as much as he longs for a winter break, he wants to stay at the top in the remaining three games.

The reports of the ongoing high performance of the Raistinger made it to Penzberg. “I take off my hat. That has nothing to do with snapshots ”, says Martin Wagner. In the first leg, the start of the season for Penzberg, there was no sign of this when Raisting won a wild game with 4-1. The FCP coach used this duel as a motivational bonus. In the preliminary discussion, he gave his kickers three good reasons why they should win on Sunday: firstly, they need the points, secondly, it is the “only real county derby”, thirdly, “there is still one score left - you lose twice against the same opponent not at all".

Since part of the team was already playing futsal the day before, the FCP will not go to the derby well rested.
