The league club would like to continue the series.

The next two games are against two teams from the neighborhood.

Peiting - Four times in a row, the EC Peiting won the last time. ECP coach Anton Saal does not break out into euphoria. "We are on a good run, but we have to keep working on ourselves," he nevertheless sees room for improvement in his team. In the next two games, there are two geographical neighbors. Today, Friday (7.30 p.m.) HC Landsberg will come to Peiting, on Sunday (6.00 p.m.) it will go to the derby at SC Riessersee.

“The HCL is much better staffed than last year,” says Saal.

Last season, the team - started as a promoted team - still had major adjustment difficulties in the top division.

The "Riverkings" ended up in last place.

The team, which continues to be coached by Fabio Carciola, reacted to this.

In the summer, some experienced players, including Dennis Neal, were signed by the ECP.

The Landsbergers "have some players who know where the goal is," says Saal.

Peiting: First against Landsberg, then at SC Riessersee

With seven points after eight games, the HCL, as the current tenth, has already achieved the same yield as in the entire previous season. The best scorer at the "Riverkings" is currently the Finnish newcomer Jussi Nättinnen with 10 points (4 goals / 6 assists). The currently most effective scorer at SC Riessersee has not yet reached this value: Robin Soudek currently has 9 points (2 goals / 7 assists). The Riesserseer do not have a proven goalscorer in their ranks, but very many goal-threatening players. With 26 hits, the Werdenfelsers are ahead of the ECP in the statistics (24) - although they played less than once. In terms of points, however, the SCR is somewhat behind the Peiting team. "With the SCR, a lot depends on whether he gets support from Red Bulls Munich," says ECP trainer Saal. The Garmisch-Partenkircheners have a cooperation with the DEL Club

The SCR is trained by a man who should be known by name even to people who are only marginally involved with ice hockey: Pat Cortina. The Canadian with Italian roots was behind the gang at the DEL club in Wolfsburg last year. In Garmisch-Partenkirchen, he was confronted with a newly formed troop. Uli Maurer has ended his career. Christoph Frankenberg and Eetu-Ville Arkiomaa switched to EC Peiting. Most recently, the Riesserseer were again active on the transfer market. During the week they signed defender Filip Hadamczik from the DEL2 club Heilbronn.

"I think I have a very good chance of winning in Garmisch," says Saal.

The recent winning streak has boosted confidence at the ECP.

"But the special teams - like against Deggendorf - have to work for this," explains Saal.

Simon Maier, who complains of groin complaints, will be absent for the whole weekend.

Defender Alex Winkler also has to pass on Friday for professional reasons.

The U20 players are available for this, as the ECP youngsters are currently paused in DNL III.
