Our snooker player, Yazan Al-Haddad, won the silver medal in the Arab Championship currently being held in the United Arab Emirates, with the participation of 14 Arab countries.
Yazan topped his group with three consecutive victories to qualify directly for the semi-finals. He beat the Jordanian player 3-0, the Saudi team player 3-0 and the Iraqi team player 3-1.
In a strong match, after being late by three games to two in the semi-finals, Haddad was able to qualify for the final match after beating Saudi player Ayman Al-Ghamdi 4-3 to lose in the final to Egyptian player Mina Malak.
