“Derbies have their own laws,” says Tobias Gstattenbauer.
The HSG Würm-Mitte coach does not speak of a mandatory win before the game against Unterpfaffenhofen.
Graefelfing - With four defeats from four games and a goal difference of -27, SC Unterpfaffenhofen-Germering got off to a bad start in the regional league season.
On Saturday the handball players receive the HSG Würm-Mitte and almost have to win (5.30 p.m., Alfons-Baumann-Straße).
Pressure at Unterpfaffenhofen: "You have to win"
In contrast, coach Tobias Gstattenbauer's guests from Graefelfingen are in good shape with 5: 3 points after their comparatively simple initial program.
“The pressure is entirely up to Germering.
You have to win while we are currently on target, ”says the HSG trainer.
"Accordingly, we are only looking forward to Saturday."
For the derby, Gstattenbauer can also fall back on captain Timo Kreusch for the first time this season, who is fully operational again after surviving a capsule injury on his finger.
Florian Selg is also available again after a long break.
For the latter, the step into the team “comes a little too early”, says Gstattenbauer.
Handball regional league: Great staffing situation at the HSG Würm-Mitte
Even without the two newcomers Daniel Ferrer and Julian Hagitte, he is spoiled for choice as to who will find a place in the HSG Würm-Mitte squad: "The cards are shuffled every week."
Even if Germering had a difficult opening program, Gstattenbauer was surprised by the way in which the "Upfer Buam" lost their games against Niederraunau or Herrsching, among others.
“They didn't bring their potential to the record,” says the HSG coach.
Handball regional league: The way of playing SC Unterpfaffenhofen-Germering
The SCUG plays a fast handball, paired with a good first and second wave.
However, at the beginning of the season he was plagued by injury worries that are slowly lessening.
Among others, Pascal Knoller, who has always appeared as a strong goalscorer in recent years, was used for the first time recently and will probably also play against Würm-Mitte.
In the end, however, the worms have it in their own hands with the quality of their broad cadre.
