Of course, everyone is free not to get vaccinated. But with all understanding for the reasons and worries of the unvaccinated: They have to endure the following accusation.

Of course, everyone is free not to get vaccinated.

But with all understanding for the reasons and worries of the unvaccinated: They have to endure the following accusation.

Pssst, we will reveal the names of those footballers from the district who are currently absent due to corona disease.

No, of course we're not going to publicly pillory amateur athletes here.

Even if it is annoying, because most of them are to blame for the fact that they are now in quarantine or are even sick.

And that is actually the case, provided that what I will soon hear every day from the sports clubs is correct: Those who are currently infected with the corona virus are almost exclusively unvaccinated. Of course, my sources are not representative, but the figures match the official ones from the institutes and authorities.

I'm not going to wave my moral index finger here. I am amazed at how people, against all scientific knowledge, decide against vaccination and how many team athletes refuse to accept the act of solidarity (keyword herd immunity). But worrying about long-term consequences, which young people in particular use as an argument, is just a fear. And fears cannot be reduced through logical explanations. If you don't dare to go on a plane, you don't get into a jumbo by praising the accident statistics for the past 20 years. Therefore: No tirade on all unvaccinated people.

But you have to endure the following: Last year, the clubs were sidelined from November.

No sport, no festivals - and nobody but this damn virus could do anything for it.

But this year we have the medical option that could prevent a corona-related standstill: vaccination.

If the year-end and Christmas parties or other festivities, which are also an important source of income for many clubs, are canceled, please do not blame Covid 19 alone anymore.

No, not even the football association or the state can do anything about that.
