Argentine Giovanni Simeone, striker of Hellas Verona, won the award for the best player in the Italian league last October.
According to Sky Sports, the son of Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone won the award after scoring seven goals in only five matches last month against Lazio, Juventus and Spezia, an achievement that no other player has achieved this month.
Simeone is currently the top scorer in Calcio with 8 goals, one goal behind leader Ciro Immobile, Lazio player.
