Although FC St. Pauli had no games on Sunday, they remain the front runners even after the 13th matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga.

The Hamburg, whose game was canceled due to numerous corona cases at the opponent SV Sandhausen, benefited from the unexpected 2: 3 slip of the pursuer Jahn Regensburg against Hansa Rostock on Saturday.

And Schalke 04 surprisingly lost their Sunday game against Darmstadt 98 2: 4 (1: 2).

Of the three big players in the second division - Werder (2: 1 in Nuremberg), HSV (1: 1 in Karlsruhe) and Schalke - only Werder Bremen won this weekend.

Ironically, at the ex-club of coach Dimitrios Grammozis, Schalke lost despite a lead.

It is the third competitive defeat in a row, which increases the pressure for Grammozis.

»There is always criticism and pressure on Schalke.

I already know that, «the coach had said before kick-off at Sky.

The cup-out at the third division club 1860 Munich and the last-minute bankruptcy at 1. FC Heidenheim had recently exacerbated the somewhat waned discussion about Grammozis.

The Schalke problem: once again striker Simon Terodde was without a hit, he has been waiting for a sense of achievement for four competitive games. Phillip Tietz (11th, 63rd) scored for Darmstadt with his fourth double of the season as well as Mathias Honsak (23rd) and Benjamin Goller (89th). The lilies have been undefeated in five games and overtook Schalke in the table. An own goal by the guests by Luca Pfeiffer (8th) and a goal by Marvin Pieringer (88th) were not enough for the relegated Bundesliga.

The new sporting director Pawel Dotschew landed an important victory in the relegation battle on his comeback at Erzgebirge Aue thanks to Antonio Jonjic.

In the home game against 1. FC Heidenheim the Saxons prevailed 2-0 (2-0).

Dotschew took over the post of sports director at FC Erzgebirge on November 1st.

Antonio Jonjic (34th, 45th) scored twice in the first half.

With eleven points, FC Erzgebirge closed in seventeenth in the table with the exception of one counter for SV Sandhausen on relegation place 16.
