With a very courageous, but also disciplined appearance, the ESC Dorfen won their first home three with 5: 3 (3: 0, 2: 1, 0: 2) goals against VfE Ulm / Neu-Ulm.

- The guests made little of an ESC penalty right at the beginning, as they saw little land for a long time. Barely complete, Tomas Vrba placed the puck dry past VfE goalkeeper Maximilian Güßbacher to make it 1-0. The ice pirates controlled the game and opponents, and when they took the guest gate properly under fire, Ulms Nicklas Jida marched onto the penalty bench. There is no better way to celebrate excess numbers than the ice pirates, and Urban Sodja refined the power play to make it 2-0. A little later, the Slovenian moved on and off, but was barely prevented from reaching the final conclusion.
Almost eleven minutes had been completed when Luca Endres had to tackle the ESC goal for the first time. Got lucky when a Mikulic shot bounced back on him from the post. That Jonas Mikulic was sitting on the bench when Sandro Schroepfer pulled away and was knocked off his feet by a foul. "Serial offender" Tomas Vrba converted the penalty due just as confidently as in the last two games at the 3-0 break.
With the restart, the guests sought their salvation on the offensive. ESC keeper Endres had hard work to manage a few times. The ice pirates drove a great counterattack with top-class scoring chances. After Bastian Rosenkranz blocked a Rosenkranz shot, a VfE defender was able to clear centimeters in front of the line. The ESC attacker made up for the hit five minutes later to make it 4-0. It went on in a gripping up and down. Endres fended off and in return Vrba refined a Sodja pass to make it 5-0. Benedikt Sommer now went into the Devils' goal. They didn’t give in and were rewarded by Matteo Miller's hit.
The goal chances festival continued like this in the final section.
The post saved Ulm once, and with one man more Mikulic scored the second Devils hit.

The young ice pirate troop seemed to have to pay more and more tribute to their insane pace of the first 40 minutes.
Almost three minutes before the end, the visiting goalkeeper went off the ice for an additional outfield player.
The ESC victory was no longer in real danger.
With 26 seconds to go, Michael Wirz shortened to 3: 5 for Ulm.
