Response to Luca Doncic's win over Boston (from Twitter)

Danny Abdia continues to evolve in a completely different way than expected - and not necessarily for the worse. Tonight (Sunday through Monday), the Israeli forward recorded one of his best games in the NBA, and was a decisive factor in Washington's 94: 101 victory over Milwaukee. Abdia Amen finished with just 3 points (1 of 3 from the field), but finished with season records on rebounds (9) and assists (4), added two blocks, recorded a steal and assist in the deciding minutes and mostly kept an impressive record for Yannis Antokompo, MVP regular season for two years The latter and an unstoppable player in the days as their repair.

Despite the poor offensive output and the limited number of shots and touches on the ball, Abdia continues to earn his minutes precisely on the defensive side, where he was far from excelling in his youth. Wes Ansald Jr. who is considered a defensive coach, continues to give him credit and tonight gave him 27 minutes.

At the end of the game he praised Abdia for the defense he presented, and admitted that he too was surprised by the way he managed to keep Antocompo.

"He was just great against Yannis. It's not fair to put such a young player on the field, let him keep the MVP and tell him 'it's all about you.' To me, that's the biggest challenge in the NBA. "There were several times during the game that I said to myself, 'Wow, there's something good here.'

Bradley Bill, who excelled in the game with 30 points and eight assists, also complimented Abdia, saying, "We ask him a lot in recent games, including keeping the rival stars, but he accepts the challenge. He's a tough guy, and we love him. He was amazing. Against Yannis, and his progress in the last two games is just tremendous. "

Spencer Dinwiddie who received a nice assist from Abdia at the last minute and sniped the crucial three-pointer that closed out an interest, added his own warm words. "The delivery Danny gave me in the end was great. He's a top 10 pick in the draft, so there's no doubt he knows how to play basketball. He has a game understanding like a lot of European players, and he does a great job on defense that keeps him in rotation. "I'm not worried about his mistakes up close in recent games, it could happen. If he hadn't been able to score those shots, he wouldn't have made it to the league and been selected so high in the draft."

Kyle Kozma tweeted after the game in response to senior journalist David Aldridge praising Abdia's money-time moves, saying "yes, this young guy is a winning player!".

Abdia was briefly interviewed at the end of the NBC network, and told what the meaning of the movement he made after one of the moves in which he stopped Yannis Antokompo and made him take steps.

After the move, the cameras focused on the loss marked by the X movement.

"It's a kind of trash talk we have in the group, it's an internal joke," Abdia explained.

"Every time I stop someone on defense I make that move, even in training. That's my sign."

The American media also complimented Abdia.

Reporter Mike Prada noted that "Danny Abdia looks this season like the player he was supposed to be before Russell Westbrook planted him in the corner."

Wizards reporter Ben Mehic added that "Danny came into the league as a point forward, but he earns his minutes thanks to the defense. Wes Ansald Jr. sees it, and it will be difficult to get him out of the rotation even when Roy Hachimura returns to action."

Abdia's crucial assist for Dinvidi also drew compliments.

"I really liked this quick delivery. Last season Danny barely got a chance to make moves, but now he's doing it," tweeted "Athletic" reporter Ben Standig.

Eva Wallace of the Washington Post tweeted, "What an Abdia delivery! Do not doubt it in the clutch," and statistician Chris Herring also wrote: "Abdia's delivery to Dinwidi was simple and beautiful."

In the Locked On Wizards podcast, there were even those who exaggerated and claimed that "Danny has a real case for this season's defensive quintet," and the Bullets Forever blog covering the Wizards was enthusiastic and wrote that "Abdia is everywhere on defense."

Now Abdia needs to continue the momentum, and wants to be expressed on the offensive side as well.
