Schongau's trainer Rainer Höfler is not someone who turns his heart into a murderous pit.
After the home game against Königsbrunn, he let his displeasure run wild.

"We must never lose the game against Königsbrunn," said EAS coach Rainer Höfler after the defeat against the "Penguins".
“What we played in the back was a disaster.
That was puppet theater, ”Höfler railed.
The coach was particularly annoyed by the defensive weaknesses in his team, which were mercilessly punished by the by no means overpowering EHC.

Rather, the "Mammoths", who were frighteningly carefree in front of their own box, were behind with goals by Jakub Bitomsky (5th, 19th) twice and former Forster Toni Rauh (16th) after the first section with 0: 3. The largely pale Jason Lavallée, who did not stand out against his old club, brought the home side to 1: 3 in the middle section (28th). It didn't get really exciting after that, because the EAS acted too cumbersome in front of the opposing goal. On the defensive, the "Mammoths" continued to be negligent. One of them punished the Königsbrunn with the 4: 1 (54th).
Only in the last few minutes did the Schongauers wake up.
The two goals by Florian Höfler during a power play (58th) and by Matthias Müller in the final minute came too late to turn the game around.

In Waldkraiburg two days earlier, the Schongauer had shown a completely different face in the first third.
“We should have been leading 5: 1,” Höfler's assessment given that his team had a clear overweight.
The EAS strikers failed several times due to EHC goalkeeper Christoph Lode.
Only Lavallee managed to beat the strong goalie to make it 1-0 shortly before the end of the third.
The cheering of the guests had hardly died down when it was 1: 1.
Only 17 seconds had passed when Florian Brenninger converted a rebound (16th).

In the second third, according to Coach Höfler, it was exactly the other way around.
Suddenly the Waldkraiburger pushed while his team was only defending - which worked rather mediocre.
Christian Neuert met from the blue line to lead the Waldkraiburger 2-1.
After that, the hosts stayed on the trigger, the "mammoths" at least occasionally caused danger during relief attacks.
Five minutes before the second break, things went really well.
Michal Popelka (36th) and Jan Loboda (39th) scored for Waldkraiburg.
In between, Lavallée kept the guests in the game with his second goal to make it 2: 3 in the meantime (38th).

In the balanced final round it went back and forth.
Both goalkeepers could not be overcome.
It was only when Höfler took his goalie Daniel Blankenburg off the ice for a sixth field player that a goal was scored again.
Popelka made everything clear with his Empty Net goal to make it 5-2 (57th).
The sixth goal of the home side by Sebastian Stanik (60th) had only statistical significance.
"We just get too many goals, I have to think of something," announced Höfler after the weekend without any points.
In the table, the Schongauer slipped to fifth place.
