Victim of an injury to the quadriceps of the right thigh, Paul Pogba will be deprived of matches for a period ranging from 8 to 10 weeks.

We will not see Paul Pogba on the football fields in 2021. According to RMC Sport, the Blues midfielder should miss eight to ten weeks of competition according to the first diagnoses.

"La Pioche" had officially withdrawn Monday evening for the rest of the rally due to an injury to the quadriceps of the right thigh.

He was replaced by AS Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout (4 capes).

Paul Pogba left the Blues rally on Tuesday.

This Monday at the end of the afternoon, during a very light inaugural training, Paul Pogba had left the field limping after a strike on goal.

The Manchester United midfielder stood behind the right thigh.

He stopped short with a little cry of pain.

The player with 89 selections immediately left the field with the doctor of the France team, Franck Le Gall.

A car then came to pick it up at the edge of the lawn.

The first echoes were not encouraging as to his ability to remain in the group and the announcement of his package was therefore formalized this Monday at the very end of the evening.

He will also miss two Champions League games

It is a real blow for this captain of the France team. Paul Pogba was counting, in fact, on the Blues to find a smile after a difficult period with his club. Last Tuesday during the Champions League match at Atalanta Bergamo (2-2), the 2018 world champion had to give way to Nemanja Matic 21 minutes from time because he had already felt an alert in his right thigh . "La Pioche" then did not participate this Saturday in the Premier League in the derby against Manchester City (0-2) because he was sent off on October 24 against Liverpool (0-5).

His team, contenders for the title in the Premier League, is only in 6th place, 9 lengths behind the leader Chelsea.

Mancunian coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will therefore be deprived of his player for a good dozen matches, including the last two of the first phase of the Champions League against Villarreal and Young Boys Bern.
