With PSG, Stanislas Wawrinka hopes to return to the top physically

Stanislas Wawrinka, the Swiss tennis player three times Grand Slam winner, has been taking care of himself since mid-August at the Camp des Loges, the training center

For a few weeks now, the Loges camp has been welcoming a new resident.

We are not talking about a last-minute recruit, or a young hope from the training center set up among professionals, but Stanislas Wawrinka, the tennis player who won Roland-Garros in 2015. The 36-year-old Swiss is not considering not a retraining in football, but he takes advantage of the facilities of the PSG training center to carry out his rehabilitation after a heavy operation of the left foot and the Achilles tendon undergone last June.

This followed a surgical intervention on the same foot three months earlier, the beginning of the galley for the compatriot of Roger Federer.

Since the middle of August, the tennis player who holds three Grand Slam titles has been closely followed by the Paris Saint-Germain medical team.

The Vaudois works hard to get back in shape, supervised by physiotherapists from the Parisian club like the Italian Dario Fort for example.

Wawrinka often testifies to this on social networks where we see him sweating profusely at the Camp des Loges.

About three weeks ago, he even resumed the race on the grounds usually trampled by Parisian stars.

The role of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi

Of course there are no clichés arm in arm with Messi or Mbappé.

The Swiss use the Parisian facilities in staggered hours with the PSG players, in order not to step on each other's feet and not to interfere in their training.

The presence of "Stanimal" in Paris and at PSG was made possible by his proximity to Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the president of the club, also responsible for the Qatari tennis federation.

Each year, “NAK” is at the head of the Doha tournament and he therefore knows Stan Wawrinka well, a regular at this ATP meeting at the start of the year.

Not to mention that the winner of the Davis Cup in 2014, knows well Aspetar, the flagship clinic of the emirate and medical partner of PSG.

Finally, PSG doctor Christophe Baudot has also worked in tennis in the past, taking charge of the Moroccan Davis Cup team.

Thanks to all these skills, the native of Lausanne now hopes to find his best level, he who has had a series of physical problems since the start of the year.

If he succeeds, he will be able (among other things) to thank PSG which is not so common for a tennis player.
