Brazil - Colombia 0: 1
Brazil became the first continent to secure a place in the World Cup, topping the table with 34 points out of a possible 36 (11 wins and a draw), 9 points away from second place Argentina and 18 points away from fifth place.
In the first half the visitors from Colombia were better and got the better opportunities, but in the second half the Brazilians took control of the game, until Lucas Pacta's decisive goal in the 72nd minute, after a small pass from Neymar, and a kick that Ospina could stop but surrendered to. In the end, the host won the game on the wet field, where 44 offenses were burned and 7 yellow cards were issued.
It was Brazil's 11th consecutive victory in the qualifiers - a South American record.
It was also the tenth game in a row in which Brazil did not absorb - another South American record.
"We are ready," Marcinius said at the end, "but we must keep working. There are more games left, and we will play them with our full commitment. There is not much time to think, the World Cup is very close, and we want to keep getting better to get in the best possible position."

Paraguay - Chile 1: 0
Chile's upheaval continues.
After winning just one game in its first ten qualifying games, Chile recorded a third straight win this morning, raising them to fourth place at home with 16 points, just like Colombia and Uruguay (before meeting Argentina tonight).
Goalkeeper Anthony Silva's own goal (56) (after the top of his hair is a corner kick by Alexis Sanchez) gave new Paraguayan coach Guillermo Barros Lotto a loss in his debut game.
For Paraguay this is a second loss to Chile within a month, which takes it very far from the tournament.
