Lewis Hamilton suffered a setback in the Formula 1 championship duel with overall leader Max Verstappen.
A new engine part was illegally used in the seven-time world champion's Mercedes for the São Paulo Grand Prix.
This means that the 36-year-old has to start five places down in the fourth last race of the season on Sunday (6 p.m.; TV: Sky; live ticker SPIEGEL.de).
The fifth combustion engine of the year is used in Hamilton's racing car, only three such units may be used this season without penalty.
Most recently, Hamilton was moved ten positions back in Turkey at the beginning of October because of an illegal engine change.
Hamilton then finished fifth in the race, while Verstappen finished second.
Hamilton is 19 points behind the Dutchman in the drivers' championship.
If Red Bull driver Verstappen is at least 24 points ahead of the British after the Grand Prix, Hamilton will no longer be able to win his eighth title this year on his own.
