It was Utah's second loss to Miami in a week, and the resemblance between the two games was quite large: as in the previous encounter, this time too the Jazz woke up too late with a double-digit lag, and this time a 0:18 run that shrank to just minus 4 with 15 seconds left, no Sufficient after important free throws by MVP game Tyler Hiro (27 points and 8 rebounds). Duncan Robinson added 22 and Kyle Laurie contributed 21 for the winner who interrupted a streak of three losses, while on the other hand good offensive ability of Bojan Bogdanovich (26), Jordan Clarkson (25) and Donovan Mitchell (22) did not save the Jazz.
Indiana (8: 6) - Philadelphia (6: 8) 113: 118
A fourth straight loss to Philly, who like Utah is also on a declining trend.
The Pacers took full advantage of Joel Ambide's absence, using TJ McConnell's clutch to continue the momentum from the away win over Utah.
Justin Holiday excelled on 27 points off the bench, Miles Turner dominated the color with 20 and 6 blocks, and Domantas Savonis contributed 18 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists.
On the other hand, the Sixers can at least take comfort in the offensive output of Tyrese Maxi (24 points), who continues to be one of the bright spots of the season opener.
