Bayernligist VfB Hallbergmoos used the free weekend to announce personnel.

From January 1, 2022, a new, extremely exciting coaching trio will look after the Bayern league team.

At the top is Matthias Strohmaier, a long-time regional league top player.

The 27-year-old has a number of well-known clubs in his vita.

He played in the U19 Bundesliga for TSV 1860, then in the regional league for FC Augsburg II, Bayern Amateurs and FC Schweinfurt.

In the demolition season 19/21 he was playing assistant coach at VfR Garching and was most recently part of the coaching team at Bayern league club Türkspor Augsburg.

With him, VfB is getting a robust, experienced central defender and a well-known personality in upscale Bavarian amateur football.

The playing coach will take care of the future squad planning together with the sporting director Anselm Küchle.

An actively playing coach naturally needs staff on the sidelines.

Here Alban Zinzou and Florian Brachtel complete the coaching team.

Coach team consists of three men

Zinzou was most recently head of the youth department at Türkgücü Munich and has now really felt like working with a team on the pitch. It should act as an interface between the Bayern league team and the 2nd team as well as the juniors. Brachtel has been a member of VfB for many years, and his field of work includes game analysis and athletic training. “It carries the VfB gene,” said the deputy head of department Tobias Bracht, who presented the new trainers to the department meeting under the heading Miscellaneous. He emphasized that they had deliberately waited for the weekend without play so as not to disturb the team with background noise. "We want to take another step with an outside coach," said Bracht.

The second head of department thanked the dismissed trainer Gedi Sugzda again for helping the club forward.

The thanks included Peter Beierkuhnlein, who was an assistant trainer under Sugzda and who will act as interim trainer until winter.

He will no longer be part of the coaching team in the future and must now clarify with himself whether he would like to remain as a normal player.

This variant would be exciting from a sporting point of view, but would be rather unrealistic.

"He breathed new life into the team," praised Tobias Bracht.
