Serbia qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup after beating its host Portugal 2-1 in the match that brought them together today as part of the tenth round of European qualifiers for the World Cup.
Portugal opened the scoring through Renato Sanchez in the second minute, and Serbia equalized through Dusan Tadic in the 33rd minute, before Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the killer goal in the 92nd minute of the match.
With this result, Serbia raised its score to 20 points at the top of Group A, while Portugal's balance froze at 17 points in second place to qualify for the playoffs.
