The ice pirates of the ESC Dorfen could not stop the away triumphant advance of the ESV Buchloe Pirates.

Dorfen - ESC trainer Franz Steer had not chosen the more defensive variant for nothing and brought defender Gasper Susanj after a long injury break for the Czech attacker David Hrazdira. And for a long time his protégés could hardly free themselves from their own third. The buccaneers from the Ostallgäu showed why they had cleared everything in their away games so far. Luca Endres in the ESC goal was able to prevent worse against Kraftczyk, Brückner and Petrak. He still fended off the Beslic shot after a face-off, but he was powerless when Michal Petrak shot him up. Routine Alexander Krafczyk gave him just as little chance to defend himself on the second Buchloer hit, when the ESC defensive could be overridden by a few quick passes.
Shortly before the first break, Dorfen's Maximilian Steiner was unfairly slowed down. This numerical advantage did not wash the ice pirates into another fairway for almost two minutes after the restart, but also for the further course. With Susanj as the driver and dangerous shooter from the Blue Line, it finally became dangerous in front of the guest gate. Top-class goal opportunities remained in short supply. Also when Buchloe received the third penalty and captain David Strodel marched out for the third time. Against Tomas Vrba and Urban Sodja, Wiedemann had to show his skills in the guest goal. After all, the game had become a more open exchange of blows - and the ice pirates had room for improvement for the final section.
That too was marked by a desperate run from the people of Dorfen.
The buccaneers were increasingly put on the defensive, but countered a few times in a highly dangerous manner.
In the majority, both sides had their problems, but the last numerical advantage of this tough battle at wear and tear brought tension again.
Defense strategist Susanj marched through, let nothing stop her and shortened to 1: 2 a good five minutes before the end.
The duo Schroepfer / Rosenkranz came into good shooting position a little later, but both were somehow prevented from finishing.
In the end, Buchloe brought the well-deserved victory over time.
