The Syrian national football team is awaiting a strong confrontation with its Iranian counterpart tomorrow at Qweismeh Stadium in Jordan within the sixth round of the decisive round of qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Syrian team enters the first match of the second leg of the decisive role with the ambition of winning, especially as it is bottom of the first group with two points in sixth place, while the Iranian team leads this group with 13 points, followed by South Korea with 11 points, Lebanon with 5 points, Iraq with 4 points, then the UAE with 3 points.
Our team will play tomorrow’s match with impressive absences, as the medical tests for Omar Khribin showed that he needs a week’s rest due to the injury he suffered in the team’s match with his Iraqi counterpart in the previous round of the qualifiers, a strong bruise in the ankle in addition to the injury of Ayaz Othman in the same match as well. Saad Ahmed and Mohamed Anz returned from injury to join the national team.
Our team had lost at the beginning of the decisive round against Iran 0-1, then tied with the UAE team 1-1 and lost against South Korea 1-2, also lost against Lebanon 2-3 and tied with its Iraqi counterpart 1-1.
